I have red hair, pale skin, green eyes, and freckles. Because of the freckles my skin tone appears blotchy and red. It especially shows up in pictures where you can especially notice how red my skin is and the freckles. Can anyone help me find a way to reduce the appearance of this?! PLEASE!!! ASAP
Skin Tone Help!?
Try the Mila d' Opiz Whitening Care line.

It is specifically made for people with an uneven skin tone and it doesn't use any bleaching ingredients.

Reply:Go to the store..and pick up some concealer...depending on your skin type (dry,oily...) you may want a liquid or a powder. If you're as pale as you say...get the lightest shade possible...it should reduce redness dramatically.

I've heard putting visene on your skin also takes away red tint...
Reply:you need lemons to lighten up your freckles.

squeeze some lemons on your face and massage it for about 2 minutes, leave it on to absorb for 25 minutes.

rinse off with cold water

do this process about 3 times a week and your freckles should lighten up

and you sound like you need a toner, buy some at a drugstore or wherever.
Reply:You can try wearing a light foundation to help cover up some of the freckles but personally, I have little freckles and I love them!!
Reply:Go to a Bobby Brown counter at a department store and get a makeup base that matches your original skin tone %26amp; put that on everyday, and wash it off at night.
Reply:I'm not sure if you are saying that your freckles appear blotchy and red in pictures or not?? This matters if you have red blotches AND freckles.

If you have freckles that really appear blotchy in photos, you can only do two things.

First, you can cover them. There are heavily pigmented foundations that even cover port wine birthmarks! I know, because I use one for my really uneven skin as I have heavily discoloration from acne.

The second is to lighten them. There are many product but they fall into two seperate catagorys. The product that contains hydroquinone and the ones that do not. I happen to use one that does, in fact it has so much hydroquinone, it is a prescription medication. It just seemed smarter than paying for a product over the counter that had less of the hydroquinone in it, so I asked my doctor for a prescription for it. I listed a link below that has a product with hydroquinone in it and it is made by Murad, which is pretty readily available at finer beauty supply stores.

Going this route takes 3 to 6 months but it does work. Beware though, you must wear sunscreen or they come right back and you are right back where you started.

There are several different foundations that have enough coverage to cover blotchy skin. I like MAC, which you can find at any large department store.

Make sure your skin is not blotchy from an allergy or reaction. It could be Rosacea. I really like Murad prduct that treat this paticular issue. Murad products are a high quality product and can be found at Pure Beauty or try on line at www.Murad.com. I use the exfoliating skin mask from the Murad line that is for treatment of Rosacea (red blotchy skin) and I love it and have tried others that don't come close and I'll never switch to another exfoliator.

Do you have a red area on your nose? Do you get redder after drinking alchoholic beverages? Do you get redder from sun exposure or smoke or heat? Sometimes Rosacea can present as a mask like redness or be so minimal as to redness primarily on the nose. I've listed a link for Rosacea below. This is really important though because if you do have it, it can be treated by antibiotics an in most cases with proper skin care specifically for Rosacea, the redness will never come back.

In both cases listed above, I really like MAC makeup for covering the redness until it is gone (depending on which therapy you use) but if this foundation make up doesn't provide enough coverage, you'll have to find a make up line carried by a plastic surgeon or someone who supplies a office where there are lasor treatments, face lifts and othe procedures which produce extreme redness, and they will have a foundation that will cover what ever you have. I too, have one of these foundations and I have never found anything else that covers like it.

It is important for you to feel you look good and if you feel that these areas look badly on photos, then definately find an answer, whether it is to cover them or treat them so they go away. I hope you will find an answer that makes you happy.
